German-born photographer, Nadine Ottawa studied product design in Netherlands and moved later to study at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zürich, where she decided to take up residence.
She was introduced to photography when inheriting a camera from her grandmother and started to photograph acquaintances and friends. Later on she started working as a photographer's assistant for the Swiss women’s magazine Annabelle, collaborating with many international photographers such as Henry Leutwyler, Jimmy Backius, Gregory Derkenne, Leo Krumbacher, Chris Triblehorn, Thomas de Monaco, Frederick Auerbach (just to mention a few), and used time to build up a fashion portfolio.
After this experience she changed assisting to freelancing, working mainly for commercial Swiss clients as diverse as Fogal, Maison Mollerus, Vieri, Globus, Jelmoli, Phantasya Jewellery, and the Italian one Agnona. Her works have been featured in magazines like L'Officiel Paris and Switzerland, Vogue Ukraine, Bolero, Z Magazine, Si Style, Friday.
