Carmine Romano

Carmine Romano is a photographer from Naples, Italy. He discovered photography at a young age and later earned a scholarship to the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, where he refined his technical skills and deepened his understanding of the medium.

His work exists at the intersection of documentary photography and fashion, driven by a strong interest in psychology and the unique stories of the people he photographs. Carmine creates authentic, immersive environments where emotions can emerge naturally, resulting in images that capture a raw sense of authenticity, enriched by a subtle and natural use of colour.

Alongside his editorial and commercial work, he pursues personal projects exploring social issues and emotionally driven narratives. For Carmine, photography is a powerful storytelling tool, one that has the ability to bring lesser-known subjects and perspectives into the light.

His work has been published in The New York Times, Vogue Italia, Replica, Vogue France, The Wall Street Journal, D la Repubblica, and M Le Monde. His commercial clients include Gucci, Maison Margiela, and Fendi.
